Throughout her career leading media, production, and technology enterprises, Cathy has successfully integrated cutting-edge technologies into mainstream businesses. As Decision Insight‘s President and CEO for over 10 years, Cathy has been instrumental in developing their award-winning suite of ShopperIQ® research solutions. Decision Insight pioneered online virtual shopping research with the development of their proprietary SimuShop® platform which elevated Decision Insight from a regional to national and international brand. In 2014, Cathy led the development of Digital.IQ, a dedicated eCommerce testing platform to test clients’ online shopper marketing and digital strategies for the emerging online eTail channel. By measuring shopper behavior in the context of a virtual retail environment (whether brick & mortar or digital), DI tests the impact of shopper marketing programs and predicts how marketing strategies will perform in the store. With Cathy’s leadership, DI has become the premier shopper insights and retail strategy firm and is a trusted partner to manufacturers in all classes of trade.
Prior to joining DI, Cathy was Managing Partner of LYNQS Newmedia, a web design, program application, and hosting firm. Directing the company from 1995 until it was acquired by Harte-Hanks (HHS-NYSE) in June 1999, Cathy led clients in successfully integrating the Internet as an additional communications and marketing channel.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Cathy serves on the board of directors for Enterprise Bank and the YMCA of Greater Kansas City. She is an active member and advisor to the American Marketing Association, Category Management Association, ESOMAR, Insights Association, and the Path to Purchase Institute.
Cathy has earned several national and regional awards for entrepreneurial and technological successes, including honors from IBM, Ernst & Young, Ingram’s, and the American Marketing Association. Recent recognition includes the KC Champions of Business Award, Women Who Mean Business Award, and Techweek100 Kansas City. In 2018, Cathy was honored with the Path to Purchase Institute’s Women of Excellence Award for Innovation.
